With a list of toxins, pesticides, chemicals, etc... showing up everywhere in our daily life, the food we eat, the air we breathe, the products we use, & on & on. There are small things we can do to help decrease our exposure. One thing is buying organic. I know it's a bit more pricey so here I have attached a list, one you can print out & carry with you to the grocery store, listing the fruits & veggies you should buy organic vs. the ones you can save some $ on.
I always tell my clients I would rather see them eating lots of veggies & fruits (although not to be overdone, the fruit I mean, they do contain lots of sugar) even if it means they can't afford organic. However if your budget allows, follow this list to help reduce your intake of toxins. These foods contain higher amounts of pesticides, as a general rule, if you are eating the skin "buy organic"
Buy Organic:
Celery
Peaches
Strawberries
Apples
Blueberries
Nectarines
Bell Peppers
Spinach
Kale
Cherries
Potatoes
Grapes (imported)

"Slow Death By Rubber Duck"
The following quote is from Oprah Magazine, February 2010. The article is Chemical Reactions. Two human guinea pigs exposed themselves to an array of today's most worrisome pollutants. Rick Smith, executive director of Canada's De fence and Bruce Lourie, president of Ivey Foundation, a Canadian conservation group, holed themselves in a condo for two days and exposed themselves to a handful of household chemicals. Before and after the test, they sent blood samples to labs that specialize in trace detection of pollutants in humans. The results are detailed in their new book, Slow Death by Rubber Duck. The results were dramatic. The book isn't just an alarmist environmental shock and awe book. It is a thoughtful look at how pollutions has shifted over the years from something tangible and transparent to something as abstract and subtle as BPA links to some cancers and the constant pollution of the human body. These subtle changes should be of serious concern to all. All of us understand the power of Natural Cellular Defense on Volatile Organic Compounds that are found in our homes and used constantly. This book is just further proof that the world needs what we offer. This supplement has published clinical trials that prove it is as powerful as chelation therapy when it comes to cleaning the body safely. We must tell everyone we know about it.

Insomnia ???
re you one who lies awake at night having trouble falling asleep or just can’t get your mind to quiet?
Here are two suggestions I have that are great “healthy” non-addictive ways to try and relax to help you fall asleep at night.
“Natural Calm” by Peter Gilliam’s Natural Vitality: a powder magnesium supplement that helps you relax. I personally use this a few time a week, it’s just enough to help calm you so you can go to sleep. You can find it at Mothers Market or online at vitacost.com

For any moms out there you can also find “baby Calm” by Natural vitality

“Fast2Sleep” by Waiora: a combination of melatonin and herbs that takes about 30 minutes to work. I highly recommend these if you are currently taking sleeping medication, a great healthy alternative. Give yourself a few nights to let it really work it’s magic. I know many who have had great success with these sleep strips. It’s worth a try.
